Bookspeed is taking to the road, bringing our best books for next season to Top Drawer and Spring Fair.

This is your chance to browse our books in person and appreciate the details that can’t always be conveyed online. We’ll be sharing hundreds of books from all your favourite publisher brands, combining new and popular titles to represent spring and summer themes. Here’s a taster of what you can expect to see in our trade show collections:

Spring florals

Floral themed books spread out in a display

Nothing broadcasts spring more than pretty florals, so we’ve picked out the best book covers for adding a seasonal refresh to your ranges. A new Angela Harding product is a worthy addition to any range, and the Seasonal Quartet box set will certainly look the part in spring ranges. We also love the vintage florals on the covers of the Arcturus Publishing puzzle books, which will appeal to a broad range of customers while freshening up your displays.

Folklore

Three folklore themed books spread across a table

Interest in folklore has been steadily growing. As the world becomes more complex, with new technologies inviting endless possibilities, a collective craving for the simpler traditions we risk leaving behind is emerging. Curiosity about local traditions, histories or nature and how they relate to storytelling, design or wellbeing has prompted the publication of plenty beautifully illustrated titles related to these themes.

Nature and outdoors for kids

Two children's books on a rustic surface

We’re passionate about seeing children explore the outdoors, so we’re always looking out for beautifully illustrated books that teach young people about nature. And we know that many parents feel the same. This is an obvious theme to help you to signal the switch to spring and summer, as families want to get out and about more. Make Every Week Wild is a fun scrapbook for recording outdoor adventures but look out for nature-themed stories for familiar characters, such as Bluey or Spot. These will always be popular.

Healthy eating

Pastel coloured food books scattered on a table.

Cookbooks are a popular staple in many ranges, and spring summons the start of salads, lighter bites and a focus on healthier eating. Instagram influencers are leading the charge when it comes to shaping food trends, and popular plant-based food writer Ella Mills has built a loyal following over the years. Her new book Quick Wins offers healthy recipes for busy lives. A focus on gut health has put the spotlight on pickling, fermentation and matcha and we’re spotting lots of new titles in spring-friendly pastels that will inspire your customers to experiment with these flavours and techniques.
