JAPAN JOURNEYS: FAMOUS WOODBLOCK PRINTS/ CULTURAL JAPAN (HB)

Art historian Andreas Marks has gathered together approximately 200 Japanese woodblock prints depicting scenic spots and cultural icons that still delight visitors today, from Mount Fuji to the temples of Kyoto. He includes prints that show the roads and railways people travelled on; the pastimes they engaged in, the entertainment they indulged in, the fashions they wore, and the food they ate. This book contains many famous woodblock prints by masters such as Utagawa Hiroshige, Kitagawa Utamaro, and Utagawa Kunisada that currently hang in prestigious galleries and museums worldwide.
