WRITING ON THE ROAD

With two children and four step-children, Sue Reid Sexton knew she had to escape her hectic household if she wanted to make space for writing novels. So she took to her campervan, and in Kintyre, Cowal, Skye, the hills around Glasgow and southern France, she switched off her phone and wrote. Here is her account of six years of noises in the night, solo travelling, golden eagles and surfers, broken relationships and fixing campervans, being over a certain age and making books live.
