Tai receives a special red envelope for Lunar New Year. But that's still an entire day away, and he can't wait to see what's inside. Hoping for chocolate, he instead finds a set of grow-in-water Chinese zodiac animals that don't just grow bigger - they come to life and they're life-sized. Chaos ensues as monkeys, tigers, goats, roosters, horses and other creatures play in the house and make a mess while Mama's out doing chores. It's up to Tai and the animals to clean up and fix everything before the celebration.
