A celebration of some of the greatest modern buildings in Britain and Ireland, all created in the 21st century. From Tate Modern and the Shard to Gateshead Millennium Bridge, the Scottish Parliament and Belfast's Lyric Theatre - what do they tell us about society, changing values and aspirations? Will they continue to have meaning and purpose? And what needs to be done to ensure we preserve what deserves to be saved? The buildings include houses, workplaces, education buildings, entertainment and sport venues, transport hubs, places of worship and even landscapes and gardens.
