LOCALS: AN ILLUSTRATED ODE TO LONDONS PUBS (HB)

Three years ago, illustrator Lydia Wood set herself the task of drawing every single pub in London (all 3,500 of them). Here she takes us to a selection of a mere 60: we meet a pub cat called Beyonce, enter taverns tucked away in shadowy alleyways, find our way to six different Coach & Horses, and sup on the riverside with the Thames tickling our toes. Alongside the illustrations are Lydia's stories of drawing these establishments, her personal connection to each pub, and the communities she has discovered on the way.
