In 1995, Caroline Mills and her partner bought 65 acres on the edge of the north Cotswolds – land that has had just four owners, including Henry VIII, in 500 years. Walking repeatedly through her meadows and woodland, Mills witnesses how the farm, the surrounding countryside and its wildlife evolve across the years, and considers what it means to be a custodian rather an owner.
