HILMA AF KLINT: A POP UP BOOK (NQ) (HB)

Years before Kandinsky and Mondrian, a Swedish artist called Hilma af Klint had already created more than 1000 strikingly beautiful abstract paintings. Largely ignored during her lifetime, her work exploded onto the world stage with an exhibition at the Guggenheim in NYC in 2019. This pop-up book tells Hilma’s story through 30 of her artworks, as well as quotations from her diaries and letters in speech bubbles, and explains abstract art in terms children can understand.
