Merlin is suffering from PTSD after serving in Afghanistan; his wife Lizzie is reeling from the pain of miscarriages. They decide to return to Merlin’s childhood home on Bodmin Moor. There they are met by a farm slipping ever further into debt and the discovery that the overgrazed woods running throughout the valley are one of the UK’s last fragments of Atlantic temperate rainforest.
