WHEN WE WERE YOUNG: MEMORIES OF GROWING UP BRITAIN (HOXTON)

Filmmaker Lee Shulman, founder of The Anonymous Project, has spent years collecting almost 800,000 colour slides from members of the public. This new book records memories of growing up in Britain from the '50s to the '80s: picnics beside cars, ice creams at the seaside, paddling pool dips, even a baby's first sip of stout. At once unknown and deeply familiar, these images allow us to reflect on our own post-war past and perhaps, in this time of deep flux for Britain, on our future.
