Description
In 1992, after seeing the news from Bosnia, Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow and his brother made a local appeal for aid, crammed parcels into their battered Land Rover and joined a convoy to the war zone. What started as a one-off trip turned into a vocation, as public donations continued to pour in. Magnus left his job as a salmon farmer, sold his house, and in 2002 founded Mary’s Meals following another life-changing visit to Malawi. He has since fed thousands of the world’s poorest children, and is the CEO of a global charity.
