Scots have explored planet Earth since at least the very beginning of the 17th century. This book features incredible stories of bravery, triumph and tragedy, and scientific discovery, often under near-impossible conditions and an index lists dates and places of birth of over 120 Scottish explorers, 41 of whom were scientists.
