OUT OF THE MIST

Eliza is haunted by the violence which shattered her family home eight years ago. Her mother Edith is bedridden, and her half-brother Marcus recently released from prison. Invited to join a trip to a half marathon in Portree, Eliza discovers joy and camaraderie for the first time in the midst of a powerfully beautiful landscape. But with further tragedy, the past lurches sickeningly into the present, and somehow Eliza must draw on new reserves of courage to find out if it will shape her life forever.
