Christmas trends to look out for
As we enter the biggest gift-buying season of the year, we round up four Christmas trends influencing consumers' tastes this season.
The countdown to Christmas is on, and with it comes the pressure to anticipate those must-have gift items for your customers.
Sadly, we don’t have a crystal ball, but we have noticed some trends emerging. Here are some of the themes we think will resonate with your customers this year.
Festive vegan food
As veganism becomes more mainstream, it’s great to see more cookbooks targeted to vegans being published. This year we’ve noticed some lovely new recipe books specifically for a vegan Christmas, addressing increasing demand in this area. Lots of festive dining tables will be catering for vegan guests this year, and whoever in the household is appointed head chef will appreciate the menu inspiration.

Dreaming of a pink Christmas
Pantone named “Viva Magenta” as its colour of the year while the Barbie Movie turned everything pink this summer, so it’s not too surprising that we’ll be seeing more blush hues this Christmas. Festive decorating is no longer just about red, green and white. We predict pinks, dusky pinks, vibrant pinks will be popping up in Christmas décor schemes everywhere, alongside mauve, crimson and burgundy too.

Crafting the personal touch
Crafting has had a renaissance among younger generations, and Christmas is the perfect time to try out new skills. In eco-conscious and budget-conscious times, it’s becoming more popular to create decorations from scratch or handmake gifts. Crafting adds a personal touch to any festive celebration, and we’ve spotted some lovely new books to provide lots of ideas.

Celebrating cosy season
'Comfortcore' was a key interior design vibe this year, so it's not too surprising to see this theme continue in many of the festive books selling well this season. For a lot of people, the festive season is an opportunity to escape the daily pressures and retreat at home, alone or with loved ones. And with the right approach - think hot chocolate, chunky blankets and a good novel – hibernation can be an absolute joy.
