DRIVERS IN THE 1980S (HOXTON MINI PRESS)

Chris Dorley-Brown is a photographer who has lived and worked in London’s East End for the past thirty years. In 1986 and ’87, he took pictures of over 40 drivers stuck in traffic, recording them in various states of boredom, frustration and relaxation, subtly capturing the mood and fashions of what is now a totally different era. A humorous piece of retro which is also a slice of social history.
