SCOTTISH PLANT LORE: AN ILLUSTRATED FLORA (HB)

Scottish Plant Lore is a beautifully illustrated, lavish hardback book devoted to the history of the folk uses of Scotland’s flora down through the centuries. Illustrated with both period and contemporary botanical art as well as photographs from the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh Herbarium, it combines some of the latest research with a celebration of the rich social and natural history that has gone before. It celebrates the plants that have shaped human lives in Scotland, from the crops that we eat and the ornamentals that we grow in our gardens, to the weeds on urban streets and the profusion of species found in our wild environments.
