Changes at the Top for Bookspeed

Bookspeed’s 25th anniversary year continues to see further investment in technology and leadership as they appoint a new MD.

Co-owner Kingsley Dawson becomes Chairman and new MD Gary Weston joins to lead the senior management team of:

·         Fiona Stout – Director of Sales

·         Matthew Perren – Director of Buying and Logistics

·         Lewis Dawson – Director of Commercial Development

·         Tony McGuire – Financial Controller

Gary has years of experience in leading growth in SMEs having streamlined processes and driven profits in many prestigious businesses. Drawing on his previous successes at Wang, Sky, Scottish Enterprise and Yellow Pages, Gary will work with the Bookspeed team to expand existing business and develop new revenue streams.  Gary is also active as a Chair for Vistage, the world’s largest CEO membership organisation. 

Owners Kingsley Dawson and Annie Rhodes said of the appointment, “Gary brings ambition, drive and a whole new skill set to Bookspeed. There is massive potential for the business and with our recent investment in new IT systems we are perfectly poised to develop that potential. Gary has the skills we were looking for to help the team realise the plans for growth that we have been developing over the past two years.”

Gary takes up his new role with immediate effect.
